matt is now OFFICER Matt Siegfried!!!

Matt got sworn in on Thursday, July 19, 2007!! This was the largest class of officers sworn in at once in the history of the Hammond Police Department!    It was very exciting He starts the Police Academy on Monday August 6 for 16 weeks.  Keep up the prayers for the next part of the adventure!  He has firearms training for the next two weeks.

Wow, sorry I haven't updated in so long!  The Health Department has been crazy busy!  I am trying to learn everything I have to know to take over Director of Nursing this spring when Bonnie retires!

I have been to many swimmeets and then this weekend I spent 12 ours taking blood pressures for police officer candiddates when they took their agility test for Hammond!  Matt was among those who took and passed their test so now they and I will be working next weekend for the second part of the test!  The police officers are so funny.  during the test te candidates have to run up a flight of stairs the officer told them to touch every stair- meaning step on every step- one kid touched every step both with his feet and his hand!  I wish I could of seen it - the cop said he almost peed himself!  The kid did pass but may or may not have some type of note on his test about following directions a little too literally!

Andrew won first place for the backstroke for the Lake Athletic Confereence!  He has secitonals in two weeks and hopes to do well enough to go to state!

100_9003 100_9004 Hey Everybody!  No I did not drop off the face of the earth!  But I just have been crazy and a little tired!  things have been crazy at work and my boss Bonnie's lymphoma is back!  So I get to be Bonnie and Karen at least 1 day a week!  Sort of a split personality thing!  Please pray for Bonnie she is going for chemo every Wednesday and every third thursday!  She has a fantastic attitude but is a little worried Her lymphoma has never been this aggressive.  She has a new granddaughter so she is fighting for every second God will give her!

Here is a picture of my daughter!

Last weekend Matt and I went to Springhill!  It was great to be there other than the getting there at 4 in the morning part.  Poor Matt worked 13 hours Friday and then drove up there!  It was so great to see friends I haven't seen in too long!  The new auditorium is great.

We have a new boss in the Hammond Helath Department and it is so nice to enjoy going to work again!  Dr Panares is so good, he is trying to make us a real health department and the press and our former boss are trying to make it seem we are in turmoil.  We are so not in turmoil!!!! Morale is up 1000% yes I said 1000.

Yesterday was Matt's 21st Birthday!  Hard to believe!  Of course he had to work for 13 hours on his birthday!  Welcome to adulthood.  I don't know how my kids are getting so old!  I do have the best kids in the world and no I am not prejudiced at all!

If anybody would love some great art check out my brothers website http://www.angelfire.com/art/Lemons/ Jim is an awesome computer artist and has done amazing art work but could use some buyers of art as he hasn't been able to work in the recent past. Check him out!
